The VanEck Wealth Builder ETF is an actively managed “all-in-one” exchange-traded fund designed to provide investors with a diversified portfolio inside a single vehicle. WBMO combines global equities and fixed income with real assets and a measured allocation to bitcoin. The asset manager selects the underlying holdings, manages asset allocation, and rebalances the portfolio. The fund trades on NYSE Arca.
Investors have access to more markets and asset classes than ever before, yet determining which assets to acquire, what percentage to allocate, and when to rebalance remains complex. At the same time, many traditional “all-in-one” portfolios remain concentrated solely in equities and fixed income. WBMO is designed to bring the simplicity of an all-in-one solution to an expanded multi-asset universe, leaving investors with 1 primary decision: how much capital to allocate.
The portfolio is structured around long-term structural trends, ranging from technological disruption to shifting fiscal and inflation dynamics, while diversifying across asset classes that respond differently to changing macroeconomic regimes. It targets growth opportunities through selective exposure to transformative technologies while incorporating gold and other real assets as alternative sources of return. A diversified base of global equities, differentiated fixed-income sleeves, and a measured allocation to bitcoin complement these exposures, with each allocation calibrated to balance long-term capital appreciation, yield generation, and portfolio diversification.
WBMO is built upon established “Wealth Builder” model portfolios, bringing an investment framework—previously accessible only to financial advisors via third-party wealth management platforms—to a broader universe of investors. Consistent with those model portfolios, WBMO operates an open-architecture structure, utilizing proprietary exchange-traded funds alongside third-party ETFs to construct a diversified portfolio reflecting long-term macroeconomic views.
“The traditional 60/40 portfolio was built for a different market environment. An asset allocation framework extending beyond equities and fixed income to include real assets provides investors with the potential to perform across a broader spectrum of macroeconomic regimes,” noted David Schassler, portfolio manager and head of Multi-Asset Solutions. “The Wealth Builder strategy aggregates the asset classes best positioned to deliver results over the coming decade, paired with a disciplined framework for managing cross-asset correlations.”
