Pacific Asset Management (Pacific) has announced the launch of the firm in Latin America after detecting strong demand for its active management strategies from investors across the region. According to the firm, Pacific Asset Management LATAM arrives as a response to strong demand, after helping raise over $100 million over the past year for Pacific through a third-party marketing agreement.
The sales team will be led by Inés Pick and Santiago Queirolo Vilaró, working under the supervision of Seb Stewart, partner and Head of Business Development for the Americas. Based in Montevideo (Uruguay), Pick and Queirolo will oversee Pacific in Latin America and the US Offshore market, forging relationships with investors and distributing the firm’s investment strategies across the region. This launch is part of the firm’s expansion plans on the continent.
“Latin America represents a significant long-term opportunity for Pacific. The progress we have made over the past year has demonstrated the interest that exists for active investment strategies like ours, which offer something truly different. Inés and Santiago bring deep knowledge and strong relationships in the Latin American market, and they have already generated considerable momentum upon which to build,” noted Seb Stewart, partner and Head of Business Development for the Americas at Pacific Asset Management.
He added: “Having recently hired Carlos Rodríguez as our first employee in the United States, establishing a Latin American headquarters was the next step for us. It is a very exciting time for Pacific as we continue to grow our business across North and South America, thereby diversifying our global asset base.”
For their part, Inés Pick and Santiago Queirolo Vilaró, sales directors at Pacific Asset Management LATAM, commented: “We are very excited to be part of Pacific Asset Management and to represent the firm in Latin America and the US Offshore market. Pacific stands out for its entrepreneurial culture, strong commitment to technology, and differentiated investment solutions in an increasingly crowded industry. We see a great opportunity to leverage our established relationships across the region and contribute to Pacific’s growth.”
