Insight Partners has appointed Yoni Meyer as Director of Capital Raising for Latin America. Based in Mexico City, Meyer will lead the firm’s capital raising initiatives across the region, strengthening relationships with institutional investors and connecting Latin American investors with one of the most established software and artificial intelligence investment platforms in the world.
Yoni Meyer joins from HMC Capital, where he was partner and head of alternative investment distribution since 2018, developing and managing institutional alternative investment relationships across Latin America. Before HMC, he worked for nearly a decade at LarraínVial in Santiago, where he founded its corporate fixed income research unit, led institutional fund placements in the region, and co-founded the firm’s first derivatives trading desk. He later worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse in New York and Santiago, advising on financing and mergers and acquisitions transactions in Chile, Latin America, and the Caribbean. In addition, Meyer holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and a master’s in Operations Management from the University of Chile, as well as an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
