Latin American wealth is crossing borders and acquiring a global passport.

According to Citi's Global Family Office Report 2026:

The family office is shifting from managing merely money to managing an increasingly complex wealth geography.

Nearly half of the family offices surveyed by the bank increased their exposure to equities during 2026.

The strategy, therefore, seems less about abandoning Latin America than about preventing wealth from depending exclusively on it—that distinction is fundamental.

Miami, New York, and other financial centers in the United States are not competing solely to capture the assets of Latin Americans.
