Who We Are

At Thornburg, we believe that siloed investment research leads to market inefficiencies. We exploit these inefficiencies for our clients through a collaborative, benchmark-agnostic investment process. For nearly four decades, we have delivered idiosyncratic alpha to our clients with innovative investment solutions that are highly active, high conviction, and benchmark agnostic.

People

Our investment team embraces a go-anywhere, collaborative approach when searching for opportunities across geographies, sectors, and asset classes.

Fixed Income

Thornburg was founded on the belief that fixed income managers should do a better job of preserving wealth for investors through active management. With a straightforward, fundamental approach, we seek to provide clients with attractive returns and stability of principal.

We launched our first fixed income mutual fund in 1984. Since then, we have launched a series of actively managed strategies that can be used to build a strong foundation for a diversified portfolio.

Equity

For decades, we have employed a bottom-up, fundamental approach to global and international equity investing. Our investment culture demands diversity of thought, rigorous debate and collaboration across asset classes. This creates the long-term conviction necessary for concentrated, flexible strategies.

Alternatives

Our long/short equity strategy is a natural extension of our bottom-up, fundamental security selection process. The strategy draws from diverse perspectives of the entire investment team in order to mitigate risk while increasing the potential for greater return.
