Eric tiene una licenciatura en Artes de la Universidad John Carroll y obtuvo su Masrter en Administraci\u00f3n de Empresas de la Universidad de Carolina del Norte en Chapel Hill. Antes de unirse a Scharf en 2007, Eric contribuy\u00f3 con investigaciones a la compa\u00f1\u00eda a partir de 2005 a trav\u00e9s de su firma registrada de asesor\u00eda de inversiones, Lynch Capital Management. Hasta 2005, fue codirector de operaciones, analista de research y gestor de cartera en Polen Capital Management, una firma de inversi\u00f3n de primer nivel. Dirigi\u00f3 con \u00e9xito los esfuerzos institucionales de la firma durante tres a\u00f1os.
