Anteriormente, fue gestor de carteras principal en Scout Investments, a cargo de una estrategia de renta variable growth que prestaba especial atenci\u00f3n a par\u00e1metros de renta fija y datos de cr\u00e9dito para seleccionar acciones. Antes de Scout, supervis\u00f3 el an\u00e1lisis del high yield y la renta variable apalancada, adem\u00e1s de gestionar productos de renta fija en Three Peaks Capital Management entre 2005 y 2013. De 2000 a 2004, fue analista de inversiones en Invesco Funds Group. Inici\u00f3 su carrera profesional en 1997 como analista de cr\u00e9dito en Janus, donde permaneci\u00f3 hasta el a\u00f1o 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Brent obtuvo un grado en antropolog\u00eda de la Universidad de Virginia.
