Trabaj\u00f3 nueve a\u00f1os como titulado del Servicio de Estudios del Banco de Espa\u00f1a antes de comenzar, en el sector privado, una nueva etapa como economista jefe de CEMEX en Monterrey (M\u00e9xico) hasta 2005. Posteriormente fue Vicepresidente de Planificaci\u00f3n Estrat\u00e9gica y Financiera de esta compa\u00f1\u00eda en diversos pa\u00edses de Latinoam\u00e9rica. En 2009 fue responsable de Estrategia y Desarrollo de Mercados de CEMEX-Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p>En estos a\u00f1os, realiz\u00f3 algunos cursos de posgrado, entre los que destaca un MBA (PDD) en el IESE en 1999 y un curso de Gesti\u00f3n Internacional de Empresas en varias universidades norteamericanas (Stanford, Warton, Carnegie-Mellon y Arizona) en 2004.
