Sus comienzos fueron en el Consejo Central de Finanzas de la Iglesia de Inglaterra, d\u00f3nde manejaba dos fondos. Tras un corto periodo en Wiston Investment Management, d\u00f3nde cre\u00f3 y dirigi\u00f3 la Unidad&nbsp; Europea de Trust, comenz\u00f3 su larga asociaci\u00f3n con John Duffield en 1989 al unirse a Jupiter Asset Management. All\u00ed empez\u00f3 y gestion\u00f3 la Unidad Europea Trust de Jupiter y varios fondos europeos.<\/p>\n<p>En 2001, ayud\u00f3 a Duffield a crear New Star Asset Management y comenz\u00f3 a manejar el New Star European OEIC y su fondo hermano, New Star Dublin based OEIC. Tras la adquisici\u00f3n de New Star por parte de Henderson Global Investor en abril de 2009, Richard pas\u00f3 a ser director de Renta Variable Europea, d\u00f3nde contin\u00faa gestionando los fondos europeos anteriormente mencionados.
