Antes de ingressar na empresa, Blake foi analista de opera\u00e7\u00f5es e pol\u00edticas no Departamento de Qualidade Ambiental do Estado de Oregon a partir de 2017. Antes disso, desenvolveu e lecionou cursos de sa\u00fade p\u00fablica e conduziu pesquisas em ci\u00eancias da sa\u00fade ambiental na Universidade Estadual de Portland e na Universidade Americana. Tamb\u00e9m foi diretor assistente de estudiosos de sa\u00fade p\u00fablica na Universidade Americana de 2012 a 2015. Antes disso, foi bolsista de pr\u00e9-doutorado, com foco em polui\u00e7\u00e3o do ar na Escola de Sa\u00fade P\u00fablica Bloomberg da Universidade Johns Hopkins por cinco anos.
